Spike your movie night with pinot noir and sauvignon blanc-flavored popcorn from Populence and New Zealand winemaker Kim Crawford.
Sauvignon Blanc-infused popcorn by Populence.
Movie night just got boozier.
NYC-based artisan popcorn maker Populence has teamed up with New Zealand winemaker Kim Crawford to spike their popcorn with a wine-infused recipe – no corkscrew necessary, Foodbeast reported.
The grape-filled batch comes in two tarty flavors: Pinot Noir Drizzle and Sauvignon Blanc Kettle. Though the buzz-worthy snack is fine on its own, it is best enjoyed when paired with the wine it’s made with – Kim Crawford’s Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc or Marlborough Pinot Noir.
According to the Populence website, the fermented flavor is “bright and zesty and pairs beautifully with the wine, just as it is meant to be enjoyed.” The sweet-and-salty snack is popped onsite at Populence’s Greenwich Village location with organic GMO-free popcorn kernels.
Snackers can purchase a bag of the golden goodness at the Populence’s Greenwich Village location in three sizes: small ($2.50), medium ($5.50) or large ($7.25), or purchase a sample bag for $8. Winos looking to cure the ultimate munchies can purchase a two-gallon tin for $45.
Though you can’t get drunk off the class-act snack, the flavor is intoxicating enough.
