This makes me wish I had a degree in engineering too!
Or at least the idea to go forward with something like this.
Originally asking for $30,000 to start production on this growler, they have now raised over $120,000 (and have grown another $7,000 since I first came across it an hour ago). Essentially it is a thermos that can withstand the pressure of holding carbonated liquid, along with the ability to act as a mini-keg with the extra tap attachment.
The growler industry in BC hasn’t taken off to the extent as it has in the States, but it is a great way to sample the new brews from your favorite local breweries. If you have the chance, I highly recommend making it part of your social/drinking routine. Grabbing a growler (1.89L), having a few friends over to taste (and finish it off) makes for a great Sunday!
If anyone is looking for a random gift for me, I wouldn’t mind receiving one of these…
