Is winemaking difficult?
Not at all! You only need to come into the store twice – once when you mix the ingredients together at the start of the process and then once at the end to bottle your wine. We take care of the rest for you.
Is it expensive?
When you make a kit in-store with us the final price will range from just over $100 to just over $200 depending on the kit that you choose and regardless of the price you end up with 30 bottles of wine. You can see that this is much less expensive than wine from a commercial winery even though craft made wine will typically be of a much higher quality. That’s the benefit of personally caring for the wine that you drink.
How long does it take?
Depending on the type of wine that you choose the entire winemaking process will only take between 4 and 8 weeks. We recommend that our higher quality wines be bottle aged for several months, but we also have kits that are fantastic to drink as soon as they’re ready to be bottled.
How do I choose what type of wine to make?
Red or white? Sweet or dry? Canadian or Chilean or South African or Australian or . . . ? Don’t worry, our in-house expert can help you find a wine that matches your own personal tastes, or one that all your friends will be sure to enjoy at your next dinner party.
